Theme tune still bangs

Agreed. tho I surprised myself recently with how many links in my 25+ yr old bookmarks folder actually still resolve to their original sites - most of which are long gone from search engine results. Useful in proving to myself that I hadn’t imagined reading them in the first place, if nothing else.

Sending big love and restful vibes your way Tom! x

Mate I feel you - recently did the reverse having not had any meaningful interactions on LinkedIn since about 2008. Was all set to delete but of course that’s made quite hard by LinkedIn so it’s now ‘in hibernation’ or some shite. I’m sure I’ll get round to burning the whole profile down one day.

Been eyeing up some Cameraman Trousers from CC for just such looseness. It’s a while since I’ve been acquainted with a baggy trouser though & as (fortunately / unfortunately) I don’t have the ballast to anchor me in such windy conditions, am hoping the heavyweight canvas will help steady the course.

Remembered my mum had found a ‘dead stock’ 5 card for our son’s 5th Birthday in 2019. ‘Swinging Number 5’ no less.
Had forgotten they were Elphick Hall (Barry Elphick & Geoff Hall) at that point too.

Yes! And things like this always reminds me of family friends & their Elphick Designs mobiles and cards - again I must dig some out from the parents archive, I think you’d appreciate it - very of the era!
November 21, 2025 at 2:19 PM
Haha, maybe some short stories :)
I am trying to organise the archives to get photos & dates & gigs & recordings all tallied up into one place. Need to hire your services for some MiniDV & DAT transfers and maybe some neg scanning too to help with the digitisation!

Yeah this was Lucky 7 era, which was label managed by the team behind Southern Fried, as was my little GPS imprint, and the Stereo MCs Graffiti Recordings label.

The paper bag costumes!! I think the folks have some photographic evidence of me wearing one of these. Must check if it still exists, hopefully on a slide!
What a super book - onto the Christmas list with that one 👍🏻
November 21, 2025 at 2:03 PM
Yeah that one I actually did :) Benefit of it being via the same team that were helping me put records out at the time 👍🏻
November 21, 2025 at 1:53 PM
Sadly not, I don’t think it ever appeared on a physical release, although I hoped it would make it onto a 7”. From memory it was a free download from the Fred Perry website for a while, but the internet has erased all memory of it - not even any scrobbles on Last FM! I’ll find the masters for you.

I bet the Dr Rubberfunk Apologetic Double Dub of 'Sorry' isn't on there either!

I did! I used Band CDs after canvassing recommendations here and getting some good feedback. Very easy to deal with, decently priced compared to other places I checked out, loads of options for customisation if you need, got the order done on a tight deadline. www.bandcds.co.uk/cassettes/ca...
Cassette Tape Duplication in Norelco Cases - Band CDs
Cassette duplication in a wide range of different tape colours for short run duplication orders of 20 tapes or more for musicians, groups, dj's and wedding favors from Band Cassettes

Amazing! So that’s the photo of Paul with a capo on his bass that I remember seeing much heated debate about somewhere on the internet 20 years ago!
