It’s also weird that the thing now is “oh they were both separated from their spouses” like that matters and we should go “oh in this instance it was unjustified” when what the fuck business is it of ours? You know who knew immediately? Their spouses! Those are the only people who deserved to know!

Statements like, "The Founding Fathers were just men of their time," is a modern-day white supremacist tactic to deny that white ppl back then knew slavery and genocide were wrong. The erasure of white folks (and *whole organizations*) who rejected white supremacy helps uphold the system today.
