This was mentioned in a locally produced booklet in 1987 but took an age to find in the local press. I didn't try and trace the couple as they didn't want the matter resurrected. There is no record of anyone matching the ghost ever living in the house.

Conisbrough Castle, although seemingly quiet these days, has had many spectral encounters. They were also one of the few English Heritage sites to provide a very long list of phenomena!

We ended up at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, very old and very haunted. I was going to include more locations but we were stuck there for hours due to rain so had to curtail our tour. I got a pic of the cursed galeon though.

The story is that a Canadian RAF man, Geoff Munroe fell to his death. Where the name comes from is a mystery as he never existed. Then I found this in "The Yorkshire Post and Leeds Mercury" (4/9/44) in May last year. It was easy to find so why do ghost groups repeat the same old story?
