Ah, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Five minutes after hearing her patronising voice you’ll be screaming at the radio for her instant repatriation to the Northeast

Great piece on Sky Arts last night about why it is such a great & faithful adaptation, e.g making the ghosts other than Marley v scary non-Muppets, not breaking the 4th wall, MC playing it as if it were an RSC production.
It should never have worked but it is the perfect Christmas family film

Well quite!

‘Male player’ presumably the headline means. Otherwise BJK and Martina would like a word

Never forget she refused to go into the count when she lost her seat. Graceless, brainless cowardice that would have had her heroine Thatcher sneering in contempt

I thought she looked very stern, but the more I look the more I think she is just sad, whereas he has a kindness about him. Stunning

Just trying to boost domestic ticket sales because no-one else is going….

Please don’t hate it. It is not what FIFA would have you believe. It truly is the beautiful game. Come and watch a lower league game on a freezing Saturday in January, or any kids anywhere playing in the dust and you will understand

We have loads of prizes in our family. Everyone’s a winner at some point, because that’s how you please little kids

Do you think the draw will be straight? Husband is already muttering ‘warm balls’
December 5, 2025 at 6:25 PM
With consistency from the whole family, not hanging Neil and Chris out to dry. Looking at you, Emmur

Poor Ed, flailing about in an effort to help George.
Right now the kindest thing for George is some straight talking and tough love
