Reflecting on Liverpool this morning. It’s not just Diogo, there was the incident at the Parade too and I think Matt Beard’s death may have played into the decline after the first few weeks. Slot’s leadership feels tainted by all this - not his fault, but they need a reboot

Been ruminating about something the (nice, intelligent) Dad of that little boy with Hunter’s Syndrome said on R4 yesterday. He was gobsmacked to find out that the USA was not always at the cutting edge when it came to science, as he had always been told. It explains so much about America

Brits - whatever the Westminster bubble thinks - are still generally and quietly devoted to the BBC. Bit like the CofE, we don’t always agree / approve / tune in, but we want it to be there
