is this a stupid take? yea. obviously warhound is a very intentionally bleak setting. the commentary of that is crystal clear and appreciated. but, in the first part, sartha in spite of everything is happy, loved, and safe. thats what it yearns for, not for being beaten and broken and ruined, really
probably also the reason why its found it so hard to read further into warhound, after what its heard about the new chapters. it wishes to be those girls so badly that seeing anything truly horrible happen to them would break it. if they cant be happy how could it ever
