Never has a Budget unravelled so much before a Chancellor has stood up to deliver it.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen press briefings and policy-testing from the Treasury, on an unprecedented scale.

Today, at 12:30pm, the Chancellor will deliver her #Budget.

Here's a reminder of some of the promises Rachel Reeves made after last year's tax-and-spend Budget...

PFI was expanded by Tony Blair's Govt.

However, for £13bn of investment, the NHS incurred a bill of over £80bn due to PFI contracts.

There's growing concern that Labour is bringing in PFI 2.0.

I sought assurances that Labour isn't repeating mistakes of the past. We will hold them to their word.

As November, men's health awareness month, draws to a close, it's important to keep open those conversations with the men and boys in your life.

Last night I joined @lbc.co.uk panel to discuss (among other things!) prostate cancer screening and the Men's Health Strategy.

It is so important, particularly on International Men's Day, to start a conversation with the men and boys in your life.

Men currently make up 76% of all suicides in the UK.

On average, 13 men a day take their own lives.

Recent press reports on possible tax rises have seriously unsettled the economy and added needless pressure on households and businesses.

Today I asked the Treasury Minister to confirm these leaks did not come from inside the Treasury itself.

A real pleasure to attend the re-opening of The Bulls Head Nailstone last night and see so many people across the community come out to support Alex and the team 🍻

It was so well attended you could barely move, let alone see the terrific renovation work by Tom and Charlotte!

Today, we have an Oppostion day debate, but what are they?

Opposition days are days allocated in the House of Commons for the discussion of subjects chosen by the opposition (non-government) parties. There are 20 days allocated for this purpose per session (under Standing Order 14).

Across Hinckley and Bosworth, North West Leicestershire, and the entire country, we pause to remember the bravery and sacrifice of our Armed Forces and service personnel who gave their future for our freedom.

We will remember them.

Last week I reiterated the importance of distinguishing between challenges with mental health and mental wellbeing.

As I have said before, a rough road isn't the same as a collapsed bridge. Both slow you down, but one stops you entirely.

Thank you to all who came to Remembrance Sunday in #marketbosworth to remember those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Well done to the RBL and all the organisations who came together so beautifully.

We will remember them.

The Government's National Insurance rise is having a dramatic impact on the hospice sector.

The Government will argue it has given £100m to the sector, but this is CAPITAL FUNDING ONLY.

A huge congratulations to Hinckley Sea Cadets for their bonfire & fireworks evening!

The rain made a fleeting appearance, but fortunately not during the fireworks themselves!

People from across Hinckley came for the event - a huge well done, and I hope it raised a lot of money!

Men’s and boys’ health is something I’ve been working on since I was first elected.

As I say here, men’s and women’s health is an “and” issue, not an “or” issue.

Last week I visited Congerstone Primary School to meet Miss Lawton, the new Headteacher, and Mrs Smith, the Chair of Governors 🏫

It was a pleasure to stop by each class to see what the pupils were working on.
