Here #TeslaFSD needs to merge left for an upcoming turn. But just as it crests this hill, it identifies debris in the road and moves slightly over to the right to avoid it while still staying within the lane. Then is merges left.

P.S. If you're in Phoenix, a trip to Papago Park is a must see.

Coming up to this light, you can see the biker on the right looking over to make sure I see him before he crosses the intersection. I waved him through with my foot prepared to slam on the brakes, just in case.

Tesla's FSD handled this flawlessly.

Funny how few people realize we are already in the age of autonomous vehicle travel.
November 15, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Sometimes I don't know if I should be impressed with #TeslaFSD or terrified. The turn was made extremely tight with the Tesla ahead turning at the same time while another vehicle was too far into the road on the right.

It was close (the car behind was just as close) but still within tolerances.

It's amazing seeing these all over the Phoenix Valley after years of successful operations downtown. Makes you think about what Tesla is really doing.

What a mess. The overturned vehicle sped past us about 15 minutes before we came upon the results of their poor choices. I don't know if anybody was hurt, but the impact on people, property destruction, and time wasted is heartbreaking. It's uplifting to see plenty of people that stopped and helped.

Even though #TeslaFSD has gone down this street a million times, it thought to go around the circle instead of following the path on the navigation to continue down the street.

While the consequences of that action are minimal, it's a reminder to always keep your hands on the wheel and ready.
November 10, 2025 at 3:32 PM
Wow. Almost no space at the Indio #TeslaSupercharger.

Here we are merging around an incident in Palm Springs. #TeslaFSD was so natural, I almost couldn't believe it. It helps that a lot of the folks around were cooperating.
November 5, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Anybody see this on their HW4 vehicles? I took it into Tesla and they said it was in preparation for #TeslaFSD v14. Even though we already have 14.1.4, it was "precautionary" for further updates. Weird.

They were great about it and I was in and out in about 15 minutes.
November 4, 2025 at 10:31 PM
It's difficult to see, but at about the 4 second mark the car wiggles slightly because it's about to change lanes (the blinker was on the whole time).

But #TeslaFSD sees the box in the road and waits until we are passed it to change lanes. It's getting a little better.

Another day navigating traffic downtown. I love how #TesalFSD doesn't fool around. It waits until it's clear and then goes around these cars jammed up in the turn lane.

You can see it hesitates just a little with the pedestrian about to step off the curb but ... you snooze you lose.
October 29, 2025 at 5:24 PM
So nice to see some real competition and a company that's serious about safety.
October 29, 2025 at 2:28 PM
I think this clip really shows the power of the neural network in play. The pedestrian is starting to cross on the other side of the street, and even though they are obstructed by a number of other vehicles (never shows up on the left pillar), #TeslaFSD slows and waits for them to cross. Amazing.

Boy, Tesla's FSD is looking less and less likely as a viable way forward for that company.

Wow. That's pretty interesting. Glad some companies have a spine although I never would have thought it was Uber.

Downtown Phoenix has a tricky stretch with two one-way streets and bike lanes, but #TeslaFSD handles it impressively.

Here it exits the I-10 smoothly, chooses the correct lane, avoiding the bike lane—something many, many human drivers fail to do.
October 17, 2025 at 9:59 PM
Again, a little amazed that #TeslaFSD knows to go around a car that is making a left, in the left turn lane, but not at the light.
October 16, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Scary and amazing. Here we are crossing the double yellow line, navigating around a car that's in the process of parking.

We will probably never know if #TeslaFSD is this smart or just following the lead of the cars in front.
October 15, 2025 at 3:12 PM
In edge cases like this, I am always amazed when #TeslaFSD can find its way around obstacles downtown, even crossing the lines if it has to.

But probably could've used a cleaner windshield.
October 10, 2025 at 4:33 PM
This is how you move innovation forward and shows what's possible if that is your core business.

At the same time, shows that #Tesla has a complete lack of innovation or interest in being a car company.

I thought it pretty amazing that Tesla's FSD was able to distinguish both broken down trucks and the vehicle turning left across the intersection and still safely navigate this left turn.
