I'm watching this one. Laura Fine is (was?) the establishment pick but hasn't been nearly as visible as DB or KA.
NEW IL-09 poll with the Justice Coalition Action: Daniel Biss and Kat Abughazaleh are tied for first in the Democratic primary with 18% of the vote.

Laura Fine trails in third with 10%, and all other candidates receive 6% or less of the vote.

It bugs me they put the eye hole over the "Y" when there's an "O" right there. Too obvious?

Hate to sound like a broken record, but I'm not sure people outside Chicago are really getting their minds around what's happening here. Every decent human needs to watch this.

In this recording from our live conversation, I spoke with Evanston resident Jennifer Moriarty, who was "grabbed by the neck" and then detained while peacefully protesting against ICE.

Melville Dewey has the same initials as Milkshake Duck
This filing choice does seem of a piece with Dewey’s perspective on the world, though. At least, according to what I know from this utterly devastating Judith Flanders’ footnote in her book “A Place for Everything: The Curious History of Alphabetical Order.”

As a software developer none of the "stack" you rely on from dev environment/editor to database to language/framework to web server can be closed source. That includes SAASes (AWS, GOOG suite, Github), which is my #1 reason for side-eyeing LLMs.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
