I made a guard to protect the @openacousticdevices.info #audiomoth membrane... Last time the audio recorders were out on peak district moors the membranes were damaged, maybe pecked by birds, resulting in damage to the devices.

It was a pleasure opening the online debate with Spanish students @unicomplutense about "Should we put #microorganisms on the #conservation agenda?" - In English via Innovation in Teaching project from UCM. Look forward to the next events, hearing more opinions from the students.

Using simple #physics for checking torque wrench calibration after stripping a thread in bike forks. Can't ride until fixed which might be tricky/costly... Confirmed one wrench was wrong causing me to over-tighten pinch bolt. Other wrench spot-on.

I've enjoyed this week cycling to work and exploring Australia whilst hosted by Craig Strong @ANUFennerSchool , developing research and teaching together. Looking forward to @biocrust4 meeting next week at Moreton bay research station in Queensland

This #frog took up residence in a bucket full of bricks sunk into the front garden as part of a project with the kids. Now stuck with the eyesore for the sake of the frog, seen every day for the last 2 months or so. Amazing how such a little water enhances #habitat in the #garden
