I wish they would have been more open about it, e.g. I can imagine there are probably reasons as for why it has been taking them so long.

While I agree that is has been taking them *quite* some time, that is just not correct.
In 2024 they stated that they are soon launching internal testing and will bring it to closed beta after that.
Now they have stated that they have already been doing internal testing and that next is the cb.
