There’s very little high-quality curriculum out there for high school English teachers that supports them with knowledge-rich and adaptable lessons to ensure deep study of important books.

I've spent time observing Eddie Jones with three different national teams.
In camp, he is unlike what you see in the media: upbeat & funny, very demanding for sure, but also always seeking to improve his own craft.

Asked on twitter: if you could research any topic in edu what would be most valuable? Interesting. Answer: Middle & high school dysfluency rates (esp on grade level text). It’s rarely assessed post-primary but numbers likely massive...near 50 percent & much > in some places.

What's your answer?

Here's a great example of Retrieval Practice from Kerrie Tinson's classroom at Windsor High School in Halesowen, England. Students start their lesson on Macbeth by recalling--in writing--key ideas from the previous lesson.
