For the record though: cassettes are the devil’s work. Easy to break, stretch, get scrunched in the mechanics and whole heap of other hurt.

Was it a Pioneer cassette deck? Also had a groovy green light as well as a plastic door that would flick down when playing? Round buttons with a flattened top, I seem to remember.

Loved Wipeout - so that’s another piece of learning today. Visually great and always banging tunes but I found myself crashing into the side wall more often than not. Do any video games have a point anyway?

That’s nothing Pet Shop Boys have sold out a five night residency in the same venue next April. And not only are they older, they’ll be playing little performed album tracks and b-sides. No hits in sight.
