Good to see Omikron: The Nomad Soul is at the V+A. For the record (pun acknowledged), the video game did not beget the Hours album. The two projects ran parallel and leapfrogged, and David Bowie & I had started song writing together for Hours long before the game developers approached him/us. 🎵
A copy of the classic cyberpunk sci-fi computer game Omikron: The Nomad Soul is on display at the V&A David Bowie Centre, Stratford.
The soundtrack was written & performed by Bowie and Reeves Gabrels, whose guitar work helped shape the game’s dark, futuristic atmosphere, and lead to the Hours… LP.
