Decent guy, husband to my husband, missing my dogs Claude and Lulu. I'm a #foodie, I'm a feeder. I'm getting older. Full on Seattle liberal! No crypto. No DM's! Please have a bio and posts💙🌊🐶🍕🍺🏈🏳️‍🌈🇺🇦

Beth's Cafe. It's been around since 1957 here in Seattle. This beloved " greasy spoon" joint is famous for it's 12 egg omelette. A popular joint for the late night crowd, and the next day for those with the hangover.

3 years ago today. Lulu loved frozen frosty mornings.

It's pretty gray down here on the shores of Lake Washington today. So today we're going back 3 years to today via social media. It was much prettier that day. I'm hoping for a bit of a break in the rain today so I can do some pruning.

I like peacan pie but it's too sweet. For many years now I make my pecan pie a tart. I throw frozen cranberries in the food processor with semi sweet chocolate chips and orange zest to break it down a bit, add this to my pecan pie filling then bake as usual and it rocks. My most requested dessert.

Claude on the left Lulu on the right. They're 15 here, doing their favorite thing, being with us on a Saturday drive.

The big dark is upon us with the sun setting at 4:30. I don't even try and stay up late anymore, I can't. So I'm up early. This is a brief sunbreak at Marymoor Park, today will be much wetter than this. Have a good day.

We had to get out of there. No hunting signs everywhere. While taking a vid one of the swans fell from the sky after being shot from the neighboring private property.

Perfectly, beautifully dreary at a Skagit Valley wildlife sanctuary.

Ah, sunspot....

We're heading out earlier than usual today. I'm sharing a year ago today social media memory from one year ago today because it's sloppy outside. Have a great day

I needed comfort food on a dreary wet day. Tuna noodle casserole for the win.

A sloppy wet day requires soup making. This white bean and ham soup will be tastier over the weekend. I have comfort food ready for dinner later this evening.

Seattle in November is not for for the warmth seekers, you've almost got to be a pluviophile to want this weather. November is just wet, today is no exception. Instead of my morning walk today I got to take 14 bags of raked up leaves to the local transfer station.

Classically, this Galacian soup is made with white beans and turnip greens, I used cooked dried chicken peas and some of their water, mashing them and kale. This Caldo Gallego has a ham bone broth, sausage, onion, garlic, all cooked with potatoes as well as the greens and beans. It's wet outside.

Timely. I have a big pot of Aldi gallegos on the stove right now. I'm using kale instead of turnip greens, the kale was available, I also use dried chickpeas cooked thin mashed instead of the traditional white beans. Cooked in a ham broth with potatoes and sausage.

Mother nature is complementing my mood today. Gray, still, lifeless, and a touch of hopeful.

I haven't walked this particular trail in many months. It triggered fucking emotion I have. I miss Claude and Lulu. I miss their smell. I miss the dog hair all over the house. I miss holding them in my arms. I miss Lulu's bad attitude. I miss Claude's blank stare. It's going to be a long day

Good morning. It's a sloppy wet walk down here on the shores of Lake Washington today. That's all, just sloppy. Have a great day.

Do you like my groovy place mats. 🤣 My table cloth is clean. I made vegan kimchi jjigae with shitake and tofu, brown rice. The banchan was sesame, ginger bean sprouts along a pear and carrot salad with ginger honey vinegar.

French breakfast radishes.

The dahlia just aren't ready to give it up for winter. The white one blows me away for its size. The purple/yellow one makes me happy every year

Here's one from 4 years ago today. Two water puppies watching my buddy Claude. 😭

My day just can't get any better. It's a rainy walk, but it started off with seeing the beaver paddling across the lake. And now I just saw three deer, a rarity in this Urban Park. And 11 years. I've only seen them twice before here at Magnuson.

It's always a good day when I see one of the ark beavers paddling through the lake. Good morning, from an overcast gray Lake Washington.
