I remember when there was a discussion on Twitter about Shein's manufacturing practices and some apologists invented all sorts of fantastical machinery and technology to avoid facing the more horrifying truth. Reminds me of this comedian's joke.

Why does every doctors office fuck with you on the appointment time? You negotiate a time that you're available, then they tell you to show up 15 minutes early... OK but then that's the real appointment time? Whenever I have to be there is the appointment time. Why schedule the fake time?
