A day of singing for me, the most intense for some time. My voice is tired, but I'm satisfied to have managed the high descants and sung new alto parts. My last commitment until after Christmas. Now much housework has to be done.

That's got to be an achievement. I hope it's a sign of some digestive improvement. The more nutrition you can get before surgery the better. My knee surgeon was positively messianic about healthy eating and I must confess I felt better during that period than I had in years.

Roofers are nearly done on the main roof. My neighbour said it has made a difference to the damp in their house too!

Clever girl ❤️ I love it when they work out their own amusements. Clem, our first dog, used to sink balls in water then play finding them. It was his own invention and required a particular type of ball. Losing one such was a tragedy.

The cold I was getting has abated, much relieved. Must get ready for our trip up north.
