In its review of Issue V, Afrocritik describes WTBAP as one of the continent’s sharpest engines of imagination, adding that the anthology earns its place not through sentiment but through sheer craft. 🧵

The issue with Showmax original programming is that it's painfully one-note. Despite having a wide array of themes the perspective is unbelievably singular; it's like one person is telling all these stories.
