New York City (Central Park) has recorded its first freeze of the 2025-2026 season. The 1991-2020 normal first date is November 21. The 1961-1990 baseline was November 11. Last winter's first freeze occurred on November 30. #nywx

Ice ages aren't unique to the Earth. Apparently, there is evidence that Mars experienced ice ages.

Below is the opening paragraph from The Washington Post’s COP 30 story. Rhetoric again does not meet reality. “Stepping up” is largely meaningless without addressing root causes. That’s why the 1.5°C goal is being left behind on a tragic highway toward roughly 3°C warming by 2100.

We witnessed the warmest reading in recorded history so late in the season in my hometown of Atlanta SAT 11/22/2025. Prior 82°F reading was on 11/16/1958. More than 30 years ago, flurries were common here around Thanksgiving. What has changed?😜 @weatherprof.bsky.social @donsutherland1.bsky.social

#Jacksonville reached 28F (-2.2C). That breaks the daily record of 35F (1.7C) from 1913, 1943, and 1977. It is also the second coldest temperature on record so early in the season. Records go back to September 1871. #flwx
