However, many Honduran citizens opposed Próspera, arguing that it has increased poverty and worsened biodiversity in the area. The Honduran Congress passed a law in 2022 repealing the allowance of SEZs, and Próspera sued the Honduran government shortly after. The lawsuit is ongoing.

I was surprised to see Brezhnev demonized on here since he's the only Soviet leader I've heard normal Russians speak fondly of.

So I looked him up on Wikipedia, which goes on and on about how his economy was super bad and in decline, until I found this nugget:

As a note, Lucian did *not* equate Ogmios with Hermes. His whole point was to explain the Gaulish peculiarity of depicting Ogmios as an elderly Heracles, Whom they attributed eloquence to instead.

Dürer's illustration is at odds with both its source text and other artists' representations of it:

I know it's supposed to be #MosaicMonday and not #FrescoFriday, but I am in search of assistance from people in-the-know:

Does anyone recognize this Pompeiian fresco of Mercury (Hermes-Thoth?) or know where I can find out more about it? My digging has turned up nothing:
A damaged off-white wall with a fresco of Mercury. Details such as His face are gone. He is tan and nude, standing contrapposto, holding His money bag, caduceus, and chlamys. White wings sprout out of His air and ankles, and there is perhaps a tortoise at His feet. He may be representing Hermes-Thoth, as there is a spike rising from the center of His head, and His caduceus is unusually ornate and curly. His chlamys appears purple with a blue trim, and His money bag is white with some thin purple stripes. The bag has three large, tied knots at the bottom and one at the top (as if it is formed by two square pieces of cloth tied at the corners).

I believe I have found his Montfaucon source, which is what speaks to the Montmorillon "temple." It is in a chapter titled "Temples des Gaulois," in the supplement to L'Antiquité expliquée (1719-1724):

I did some searching and found an instance that's much older, from 1852. It refers to octagonal structures in France, so seems like it may have already had its current meaning even back then:
The curious figures were, I believe, first remarked and commented upon by Montfaucon in his description of the remarkable octangular buildings at Montmorillon, which he has learnedly and plausibly argued to have been an ancient Romano-Celtic temple.
