Make no mistake: Too many in journalism use passive voice on purpose to give passes and to soften certain news about power.
Why I basically outlaw it in our shop. (It also ruins writing.)

We visited @kampwesterbork.bsky.social. So much is about children Nazis imprisoned, tortured and killed, including Anne Frank, but so many others. Dutch authorities helped Nazis in this camp.
