This pipeline will never happen. There is no scenario where smith & friends can meet the MOU requirements. And that's not just a coincidence.

There are enough poison pills & delays built into in that MOU to ensure that pipeline never gets built. The MOU does however relieve a little pressure in what is a huge problem for Canada - AB's pro u.s. pro maga political landscape. Said as someone 100% against a pipeline.

Apparently India isn't paying attention. Any deal with the u.s. has shelf life of about 3 minutes, if that.

That pipeline isn't going to happen. I suspect (and hope) this is a way of keeping the AB crazies at bay for a while. Not my pref approach but he is demonstrably neither stupid nor crazy & def plays the long game.

I no longer wonder. The cpc has been quite open about it, with their support of the Ottawa disgrace, proudly wearing their MAGA gear etc. Without a security clearance their leader should be viewed as an ongoing high level national security risk.

In fairness it's likely not going to make a huge difference. Look at the drop in foreign tourists even b4 this. The u.s. has made it clear only extremely wealthy folks kicking something back to trump & co. are welcome. The rest of the world has taken notice & is giving it a pass. Won't change soon.
