Thank you for confirming the conclusion I already made. I don’t have the kind of life conducive to a parrot well-being. And it’s questionable whether they should be in captivity at all.

Is there a parrot species that makes a good pet and can talk but doesn’t require huge amounts of human attention? I know that cockatoos, for example, are so social that even given food and water if left alone for a couple days, they can die of grief.
