And off goes 810010 as it continues its journey non stop to London St Pancras! Overall, a very pleasant ride this morning and it was certainly eating up capacity. My next train is a full and standing 5 Coach Meridian 🙈

It's not all good news. If you're tall, you probably won't get along with the new standard class seats. Legroom is poor because there's nowhere to put your knees unless you, rather uncomfortably, squish them together the whole journey. Definite downgrade there!

The overhead racks are spacious, which is the complete opposite of the awful 222 racks, and the luggage racks at the end of the coach are huge as well. I also love the coach end screens - both above the vestibule and behind the last row of seats. Much better than the earlier 80X!

In terms of the interior, they are absolutely the best Class Hitachi train out there. It's not even a competition! The lighting is spot on, the colours are warm and inviting, it just looks and feels the part.

A dawn of a new era for East Midlands Railway this morning - Class 810 'Aurora' 810010 arrives at Sheffield to work 1C17 the 07:00 Sheffield to London St Pancras. This is the first passenger service for the Class 810.

Well, after successfully navigating a 7 night cruise earlier this month... I'll be trying a few more next year! 3 nights on Quantum of the Seas, and 7 nights on MSC Seashore ❤️

After a lovely time in Porto, BA Euroflyer A320 G-MEDK has taken us back to Gatwick this evening! This is my 5th flight on G-MEDK and the first time I havent flown it on the Gatwick-Arrecife route! #Avgeek

If you ever find yourself in the Chesterfield area - cannot recommend Rikshawaz in Clay Cross enough! Beautiful setting and absolutely amazing food 🥵 the naan is possibly one of the best I've ever eaten!
