any entomologists on here know what type of insects these might be? And what they’re up to?
Filmed today, in Finger Lakes area, above a field. I’m surprised that they are so active given that it has started to get down to the mid 20s (F) at night. Some kind of stonefly?

Saw this weird insect (?) swimming underwater at night in a Maine pond last month, mid-September. Anybody have any idea what species this is ??
