Faith and I were bicycling the last few miles of the NOLA Social Ride along the Algiers levee when she stopped at a marker she’d noticed on the front half of the ride: the memorial for the two sisters and the boyfriend of the older sister in a tragic drowning accident back in 2022.

About last night: Faith made #chickenspaghetti which I’d never heard of and it appears to be a Southern thing? (Why would the Internet lie!)

If you know the movie, and ESPECIALLY if you know the song, we can be friends.

1/3 One of my favorite aspects of communications and outreach is embracing culture but also popular culture. That's why I was thrilled that Bike Easy partnered with the Broadside to screen “The Triplets of Belleville” – one of my favorite animation moves AND one involving bikes.

Always great to see family out in Madisonville (well, “suburban” Madisonville) and always great getting an updated “Faith, Hope and Charity” photo. Major thanks to Stephen Blanc Jr. and Taura Narcisse Blanc for hosting!

Great time hanging out with Zina Harris Dorsey as she led #SistahsOnWheels was joined by other #socialride groups from across #SELouisiana for a #FirstFriday ride. I served as their trail car driver on their way to Captain C’s Snowballs & Nachos. #bicycles #bikewalknola #bicyclistsofneworleans

#ThrowbackThursday: On this, World Goth Day, I want to remind everyone that it was I who dubbed The Crüxshadows — Tallahassee’s gift to goth, much like Creed was Tallahassee’s gift to … I forget — the “Sisters of Murphy.”

Again, you’re welcome. (Looking at you, Jacksonville.)

I was today-years-old when I learned that the quarterback for the U.S. national flag football team, Darrell “Housh” Doucette, is from New Orleans. (Xavier University FTW!) Check out this @npr.org interview: www.npr.org/2025/05/22/n...

“Commuters who cycle to work are less likely to get sick than those who are inactive. People who cycle at least 61 kilometres a week have 5.3 fewer sick days per year than those who do not cycle. In a company of 50 people, this means 265 days of sick leave saved.”
