The Hortmans’ golden retriever is lying with the Speaker Emerita Melissa and Mark Hortman in state at the MN State Capitol. 12 golden retrievers will rotate to stand guard over them.

I’m crying.😭

Can the world just calm the fuck down?

We’re fighting fascism here, let’s not add World War 3.

Hug your people, friends. My family just lost two aunts, sisters, a day apart. One of my aunts was my second mom. She raised me like her own daughter. She fought hard the last four weeks. I’m shattered.

It feels so heavy right now, it’s paralyzing. I now realize that I’ve been hyper-focused on writing code the last three weeks because it’s the only thing I can control now.

I needed to get follow up labs done, and they messed up the draw twice, leaving bruises on my arm. I went to another facility and bless the Filipino aunties in the lab. They were like, “next time just come back here, anak (child). We’re da best, we’ll take good care op you”.

Just heard a soft ding sound coming from my computer. It was rather soothing. I don’t trust it. Leave me alone, nobody better be messaging me.

Woah. This was a trippy read. I need to think about what just happened here. One of the weirdest books I’ve read, but in a good way.

It looks like I’m playing Jengga with my books. I really need to reorganize my shelves to make room for my piles of still to be shelved books.

I watched Paint the Night with my twin nieces celebrating their 10th birthdays. The squeals and cheering from those two made it for me.

I am proud of my friends and family voting in the midterm elections in the Philippines. They are showing us what hope looks like even in the direst of times.

I miss going to the parks. Need to get away but can’t. Life sure is happening super hard right now.

My neighbors out here really doubling down on their Trumpism. They got new flags. Bet you they’re made from China. Fucking hypocrites.

It’s too hot. I’m just gonna buy all the linen shirts I can get my hands on.

We’re seeing the effects of tariffs on small businesses. I’ve seen many explain in their socials the additional costs that are added on to their products. Then not even half-wits comment like, make them in the USA, etc. Where do the materials & equipment come from, Chad?? Stfu!

Books on Blackwell’s are cheaper than at Barnes & Noble, and they already include shipping. Just takes a tiny bit longer to ship from the UK, obviously, but still worth it.

Our new Pope hates JD Vance. I like him already.

Could not stop reading a book, and just finished it a few minutes ago at 1am. And now it’s Conclave voting time. What is sleep?
