I know the bar's set much lower for this one president, but it's awful that he live-tweets the news, spouting baseless speculations, rather than rely on the world's best information apparatus that has intel agencies and police depts on call. The president's role should be a calming one, not... this.

I did a homestay with a Muslim family in Mombasa Kenya when I was a college senior. I stopped eating pork while living with them and I observed Ramadan with them out of respect. That was 2007 and I haven't had pork ever since. I just never ate it again after that study abroad program.
Pigs were so incredibly important to feeding people for a long time.

I've got candles, incense and frankincense lit. Bob Marley playing softly on vinyl from my living room while cuddled up in bed in my room with a book and some lavender chamomile tea + I've got homemade made from scratch chocolate chip cookies (infused with cannabis) in the oven. What a lovely day!
