Like, I’d love to go on a mental health walk but my neighborhood is infested with cockroaches and so any time I walk anywhere, it causes me more anxiety.

I get ya. What helps me is thinking of mental health days like sick days. You’re not feeling good and so you gotta treat yourself. Taking care of yourself is how you feel better in both situations. You got this!

God, yeah. And what will make me crash and burn is dependent on a variety of factors outside of my control too.

I’m in the process of moving and it’s been constant stress. So at the moment, even answering emails feels like a tipping point.

I have a light in my living room that I only turn on when I’m planning to do something.

I call it my productivity light.

So when I’m struggling to start, my first step is turning on that light.

Does this work? Sometimes.

But it works enough for me to keep doing it.
