Perhaps rather than demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars, the senators could simply apologize to the nation for violating their oaths of office and lending rhetorical support to criminal conspiracies to overturn a free and fair election.

The Law Allowing Senators to Sue Over Phone Searches is Worse Than You Thought
The controversial new measure paves the way for a big payday for senators—and undercuts reasonable debate about how the Justice Department should investigate Congress.

The 8 DEMS that had no skin in the game made a decision to prolong the suffering of Americans - their constituents don't even get the pleasure of voting them out of office. What little legacy they may have had is gone - this is how they will be remembered.

Republicans have had full control of the House, Senate and White House for 291 days.

Yet, not a single one has been spent lowering costs or protecting health care.

Instead, Republicans created a health care crisis, shut down the government and went on vacation for 7 weeks.

Schumer is an example of failed leadership and an out of touch politician. The Democratic Leadership in general does not get to take a victory lap - all of this momentum is in spite of them, not because of them.
New statement from Chuck Schumer:

“Despite not doing anything useful, and in fact being actively harmful to the process in a number of ways, I am here to take credit for other people’s hard work and risks.”
New statement from Chuck Schumer: "Tonight’s results are a repudiation of the Trump agenda. The cruelty, chaos, and greed that define MAGA radicalism and are skyrocketing costs were firmly rejected by the American people." Calls it "a good night for Democrats and our fight to lower costs."

What I love is that the wins are big - no room for question. Also, no thanks to Democratic Party Leadership (or lack there of). Mamdani, Sherrill, Spanberger all proved that talking to people, knocking on doors, and having a message of making people's lives better matters.

Senate Republicans blocked a resolution demanding full funding for SNAP benefits.

This, as Trump still refuses to fully restore SNAP to 42 million Americans.

As we head into the midterms, don't forget: GOP lawmakers are fully complicit with Trump's weaponization of hunger.

Wow! It’s not even close. Food banks can’t keep up with the need…

Question: “How long is this sustainable.”

Food bank director: “It’s not… for every meal that a food bank provides, the SNAP program provides nine. There’s no way we can meet that gap.”
