Rain.

Rain, Rain, Rain. And on top of that more Rain.

Just finished Andy Weir‘s Project Hail Mary. Very engaging, very good. Recommend it to anyone who likes science / sky-fi based stories.

I hope they don‘t butcher it with the movie.

WeTransfer just changed their TOS giving themselves permission to train AI on any content you transfer and produce derivative works based on content you transfer that they are allowed to monetize and you are not allowed payment for.

Stop using WeTransfer.

Yikes, this really reads like a dystopian sci-fi scenario. Usually I would take future predictions of AI enthusiasts with a load of salt. Yet given the exponential growth of human knowledge and the current speed of AI development, this is more than just made up bs.

Watching the WWDC videos. Yeah, why would Apple's own Developer App need to support the keyboard for starting or stopping a video? Or even the arrow keys for jumping back and forth quickly? Stupid me, what a silly idea!

In light of the latest WWDC I‘m (re)reading „Advanced Swift“ by objc.io. One of the best books for a deeper understanding of Swift basics. I hope the authors update it for the current version 6.2. Time and version spanning would match. #fingers-crossed

Rewatching the Foundation series in anticipation of season 3. I‘m always at awe how many nuances you pick up on watching a good show the second time.
I think I should put the Expansion back into the queue.

Client: What time can you send us the finalized plans?
Me: The minute you stop moving stuff around and changing your mind.

I think I broke my ClaudeAI agent. Upon asking to simplify a code snippet it just ran into an endless cycle where after each iteration it comes up with a "oh yeah I can simplify this further". We are in the 6th iteration, it's still spinning. Eventually it will arrive at 42. 🫣

First time experienced Apple CarPlay in a rental car. Yeah, that’s cool. Using your known means of navigation + music + calls vs. the notoriously bad car UI is really something. I want that too. But my old trusty blue Honda has to hang on a little bit.

I really start hating AI generated image slop.

Well I get it. You want to illustrate your cringy LinkedIn article with an image because someone told you this is good for engagement.

But what does that tells me about you?

My new mobile phone without a visible home button makes it the USB plug of my time. 50% I pick it up it’s the wrong direction upside down.

I think I’ll become old and grumpy.
