I really like these starter packs and created one for Renewable Energy Experts and Organizations that mostly post on solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, and bioenergy. Can you help me add other folks that I might have missed? Thanks ☀️

Latest from Reuters using @globalenergymon.bsky.social data! Two-thirds of new power projects are solar & wind 🌞💨 Around 950 GW of clean capacity is being built—345 GW of that from solar alone.

According to the latest UN NDC Synthesis Report, updated pledges from 64 countries cover about 30% of global emissions and would cut emissions by only 17% below 2019 levels by 2035. The report highlights the need for more ambitious climate targets.
The UN 🇺🇳 released its official NDC Synthesis Report, offering both hope and a stark warning.

According to the report, current pledges collectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 17%. However, this is a fraction of the 60% reduction required to limit warming to 1.5°C.

Africa gets more sunshine than anywhere else on Earth, yet it had just 21.5 gigawatts of installed solar capacity in 2024. By comparison, China added 198 gigawatts between January and May this year alone ☀️💡

Just read this piece by @oykusenlen.bsky.social — brilliant! Türkiye’s #COP31 bid rings hollow without stronger ambition. Cutting solar + wind goals from 120GW to 82GW by 2035 risks missing a huge opportunity. Restoring bold renewables goals would show real leadership ☀️💡

What Türkiye can do to become a credible climate leader in its bid to host COP31
Turkey’s bid to host COP31 offers a chance to prove climate leadership, if it strengthens ambition, accelerates clean power, and phases out coal.

IRENA's latest report reveals that global renewables hit a record 582 GW added in 2024 — a 15% increase — but we’re slightly off pace to triple capacity by 2030. Francesco La Camera told Reuters the target remains within reach with the right momentum. 💡⚡️

Over the next five years, we'll add 4,600 GW of renewables — equal to all power in China, the EU, and Japan combined. Nearly 80% will come from solar PV, as rooftops & off-grid systems boom worldwide.
