I strenuously object to the implicit assertion that people don't want to hear about other people's holidays. I do! In Iran they have an outdoor picnic day (Sizdah Bedar). In Japan there's a bean-throwing day (Setsubun). There's a whole world of fascinating rituals and traditions.

whats also amusing to this, is that when the printing press was invented, there was debate among the Rabbis if printing was considered "writing" and therefore kosher, or also if it's rather engraving.

sometimes I wonder what these people were doing before llms. were they always this careless and rude and we just didn't notice?
like, I've seen a competent engineer submit code that llms were involved in,; they tend to thoroughly read, tweak, and rewrite. then there's these chucklefucks.

One of the many joys of using AI for programming is the creation of huge PRs on complex topics that the authors barely understand, but still suggest "because they work". Here's a great example from #OCaml github.com/ocaml/ocaml/...
