rife with abilities and rituals. There are sometimes bespoke ones alongside adventures, kind of like how Seth Skorkowsky talks about liking custom madness tables for CoC adventures; it's tied in to what's going on/cultists can be along it.

I try to stray away from real world neuro-divergence, although there is some overlaps that are hard t' dodge (e.g. "pyromantics" like to burn shit down...); you're bound by your progression down this Track in your behaviour but you also begin to gain abilities.

a hit to your psyche deals a Madness point, in addition to shit like what should never be seen and terrible insights and revelations of Truth.
The idea is that reality is too much to bear and so our "reality" is a collective illusion denying the eldritch truth; going "Mad" is seeing the truth.

GU's Madness Tracks are player selected and may be swapped at "Respites" (safe breathers). When you gain Madness it's immediately spent progressing down the track. There's psychological hit points that are far more commonly taxed than Madness gain, but at 0 Psyche 1/4

Today is G-day, the day when I could first say what I had posted was in a very technical sense of the word "gameplay." Not exactly how I envision it really looking or feeling but this is probably the foundation of every puzzle in the game at work here. #UE5
