The good thing is that thanks to Digimon being successful in Asia lately the new multimedia hotness is Shangri-La, a third Digital World that's full of awesome Mons based on Asian mythology, so hopefully new games full of them are on the horizon

I love that people are finding all these newer Digimon designs by playing Time Stranger, it kind of makes me wish that the game had leaned harder into more recent 'Mons

Yeah, it does get easier in the late game to make money through selling items; I personally appreciated that early and mid the game pumps the brakes and forces you to use the resources you have rather than grinding past them.

Again I have no idea who the character is (very obviously I did not do any research) but this set was only $4.50 so of course I picked it up.

This isn't a figure I would have bought if it hadn't been on huge discount because little anime girls are definitely not my jam, but it's a typically well-made if mildly flawed figma and comes with some fun stuff.

The other accessory is an angry vein mark that fits into her fringe by the same method as the chick.

In addition to the standard figma base and extra hands she has two extra faces, a knife, a...ghost bear mascot? a little chick mascot and one other thing. The little chick is attached by the pretty low-tech method of partially removing her bangs and then just jamming it in there

Unfortunately there was some paint transfer from her dress to her leg before I even opened her. In addition her leg articulation is compromised by her thigh joints getting snagged on her soft plastic underwear, something I didn't want to have to investigate on a young looking figure.

"you can plug in USB controllers" well then that's not really an arcade machine any more is it, it's just a one-game console with an impractical monitor attached

That's fair, but the figure I posted above literally just got stocked in my local Target for the first time last week so it seems like either these two figures are coming out in close proximity (which is weird) or stock of the older figure got staggered until a new one came out (which is also weird)
