When I'm doing a puzzle I start by sorting the pieces and once I've got all four corners I announce "we're 25% done!"
It doesn't make sense, it's not funny, and there's no one around to hear me.

The arguments against speed limiters are the same ones deployed when we tried to ban smoking in restaurants, on airplanes, and in hospital waiting rooms.
- It's safer to smoke inside
- Smoking is not dangerous
- What if it's -40 outside??

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.

This is the correct distinction and it would be better if everyone were better at identifying the basic flaws in arguments both big and small (myself included)
She's not saying this movie was made for people not paying attention, she's saying everyone who doesn't like it wasn't paying attention. Those are different arguments.

watching the rehearsal s2 and i’m at the part where they’re trying to train a clone dog to show it can be like the original dog by inviting it to intervene in an owner’s diabetic attack like the original would. clone refuses and just shits on the floor. pretty great visual metaphor for generative ai
