Kate Elliott books always look good to me, but the one I read and loved loved LOVED was The River Has Roots.

As often happens to me with Amal's writing, it has only grown in my mind over time.

And that may have been the last time my fash-adjacent cousin and I agreed on... anything, really.

If by "grocery store parking lot" you mean "when I get my grocery delivery" then sure. I can do that.

I plan to go out exactly once when it's snowy and super cold, take some pictures of the forks in snow for my friends back in the bad country, and escape back home.

MoS was my breaking point with Snyder. For years, I said "he's such a great visual artist. If only he'd develop better sensibilities and taste, he could be a great director."
