🤣
LEGENDARY book output and now the remainder is little more than a rounding error on the lost body of work!

You think that's bad I have not found a single copy of the first 450 novels in that famous Ray Bradbury series. Not even one, John!

Do you know what species it is?
On a trip to Ireland we got to work a little bit with some Harris's hawks, but I'm sure they were smaller than that.
One person got to handle a peregrine falcon but those are trickier IIRC because you can't just have them swoop onto your hand, they do not slow down

I think as the internet is filled with a higher proportion of its slop every day I think there's every reason to expect it to get worse because otherwise can't help but train on its own slop.
Beginning conditions were pristine because ALL of its training data was human made.

While an artist who is taking the time to make a storefront image with letters will make some intentional choice about what the letters say rather than just random slop. if they are going to spend time making lettering the lettering is going to accomplish something
November 16, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Same for writing. the slop machine if it makes something that looks like a storefront is probably going to put something that looks like letters on the front and those letters might be fairly linear because that is a pattern it can mimic. some of letters will be gibberish they won't spell anything

The program is like images that look like books tend to have parts that look like bindings but it doesnt know what a book is or what a binding is for, so there is nothing preventing putting two bindings on one book while an artist would be like hm that doesnt make sense.
November 16, 2025 at 5:28 PM
Yes absolutely. Like I have seen quite a few ai slop i have seen have their tells in haphazard stacks of books (in a wizards workshop or the like). Because inevitably some of the books are bound on TWO SIDES. A human who is painstakingly making every detail is unlikely to make that mistake
November 16, 2025 at 5:16 PM
A beginner artist might maybe join lines like that on accident... but they would not be capable of the incredibly fine details in the rest of a typical ai slop which tends to have much detail.
November 16, 2025 at 5:11 PM
An experienced artist would noticed the joined lines and would not have implemented them accidentally. They might have done it on purpose if, like, it's a painting of a dryad, the merging of human limb and tree limb is a vital detail, but of course there should be indications that that is intent!
November 16, 2025 at 5:10 PM
Like a person might have a background figure with indistinct arms by choice. But a human arm that merges with a tree branch of the exact same width and visual trajectory is a very specific detail.
AI slop does that because it prioritizes line continuity without understanding what the lines ARE.
