A psychotic who stalks my girlfriend has recently begun stalking my social media, so this post is a hello to him. Hi, guy, enjoy your time. Just know that when you and I share space together, your first Kung Fu lesson will be free.
I: I’m going to listen to Django Reinhardt, it’s his birthday.
My girlfriend: Not with me around. *scoots to the other room*

Nobody talks about how hard inter-faith relationships can be when one prays in jazz and the other doesn’t.

I am friendly with a few post-structuralists and I enjoy messing with them through hyperbole to see if they’ll catch the satire. Today’s fun was referring to music without AutoTune as “cis-tonal” and AutoTune as “tone identity affirming technology.” Only my friends laughed.

Something very interesting seemed to have happened with COVID, in that many otherwise smart people, despite ideological differences, all broke under weight of vaccine mandates. Lots of Republicans, sure, but jumpy and idiotic leftists, too. This was almost a pure test of worth.

Donald Trump can still win the Golden Globe if Mike Pence has the courage to do the right thing.

Strauss, in his Symposium lectures, imputes to progressive thinking, through Kojeve’s Marx, a complete fungibility of humans, even down to sex. The years have been kind to his prediction, but people don’t like the consequences of it.

Attn: Jewish friends, fountain pens defeat me, as do hardcover editions in Sanskrit, German, Latin and Greek. I die for Benedetto guitars and Ellington records.

Most temperamental conservatives I know has made the decision that Democrats are more mentally stable, that it's worth sacrificing policy goals in the name of predictability and reasonability. Many Republicans I know are agonizing about this, hoping that they can ride the Trump tiger a bit longer.

The Trump administration has shut down money to Minnesota through the USDA. What is the point of Congressional appropriation if the administration can refuse to spend as directed?

Something you’ll hear from women is that they are always apologizing. What they don’t tell you is that they mean it in the original sense of the word.

My girlfriend told me I farted so loudly she not only woke up and yelled in fright, but that I slept through all of this. I am still laughing three days later.

Never lose your youthful love of life.

One’s life can provide context and explanations for behaviors, structures create incentives, but we have power within those structures to respond to incentives. Most of what I find disgusting in people is the refusal to own their choices and use biography to exculpate themselves.

Republicans are saying that Maduro, an objectively bad guy, needed to be taken out because he wouldn’t accept the results of an election he lost.

George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump didn’t have much to say, I guess.

I cannot imagine thinking you got a journalism job and then being assigned to look at pictures of Democrats to find out how much their clothes cost to see if they’re expensive enough to try out calling them spoilt rich kids playing revolutionary. If that were my job, I’d learn to code.

I am one of the very lucky few who've managed to find love again after a divorce. I was lucky enough to find someone with whom to have a marriage, for which I am grateful, even in its dissolution, and even more lucky to find someone again. My heart is still for all those forlorn of love, it hurts.

Jason and Spiritualized get a lot of recognition, rightly so, but some of Pete’s solo work is also very good. I don’t think he ever matched the disturbing quiet he found on Spectrum, though.

I have decided to embrace my true nature as a high maintenance man. Please pray for the women in my life.

I’m probably going to hate the answer to this question, but, here goes. Why are Republicans suddenly talking about Nicki Minaj? Did Kanye’s antisemitism help them discover her verse on “Monster”?

Marvel wasted Kumail Nanjiani on the awful Eternals movie, but James Gunn could easily cast him as Booster Gold, for which he’d be perfect.

Everyone you know who thinks they understand the CBS editorial process also believes that there is a tape of a hooker peeing on Donald Trump and that Andrew Tate was arrested because of a pizza.

Just keep that in mind.

The sales lady at GAP told me that I am officially old enough and a father, so I am allowed to wear cargo pants, and I'm thrilled. Permission to frump, so to speak, is amazing.

My sincere hope is that in the same way it has almost become a tradition for rappers to beat up Drake, it becomes a tradition for boxers to beat up Jake Paul. Heal fast, Jake.
