I had a creative writing professor who insisted you had to open a genre work with clear and concise world building, so the read could have a touchstone.

Why is it I can find all sorts of covers for dozens and dozens of 80's and 90's cartoon openings, but not one decent rendition of the theme form "Pirates of Dark Water?" That music was EPIC. Was the show just too obscure?
