It feels weird when we go to the vets and they use his full name rather than the nicknames it's been shortened to over the years.

This is probably the only example of the word Tumbleweed ever being considered too formal and proper.

Related to this does anyone else have a 'Quitting my job' song?

Kiss the Misfits has been my anthem for at least 4 times I've left the office on my last day
Only just found out Felix Hagan is playing Manchester this Friday, tickets now booked!

A good friend will help you with the DIY but a best friend will watch you manually screw in all the screws before telling you he brought an electric screwdriver with him

"Why didn't you tell me?!"
"It was funny"

Twat!

Well worth checking out, I've not listened to Copasetics yet but can recommend giving Underneath The Lookout a listen
I have a few things to buy this Bandcamp Friday, but you know what would also be nice? If people downloaded or even just had a listen to some music I’ve made. Artists supporting artists etc etc 😊

copasetics.bandcamp.com/music - so proud of the album

MPF create a playlist on Spotify each year of the line-up and honestly it's one of the reasons I was hesitant to switch

Just copied their playlist across to Tidal and there's only a handful of tracks unavailable. I'll have to check back for any changes but I'm a happy boy

Booked a gig to see the supporting act. Finally got around to listening to the headline, turns out they're pretty good too :)

This is gonna be cool… if you can’t make it - feel free to spread the word!
Speaking at the Women in Punk conference in Nottingham in March - tickets are super cheap and it would be great to see lots of people there (all genders! It’s not just for women btw)

Had an awesome quiet weekend with Kev playing Codenames Duet + Hive and watched Honey Don't.

Much needed after last week

A few days ago, I stood in the graveyard of an 1100 year old church, getting damper and damper in the drizzling rain.

A woman walked into the graveyard, waved, said hello, and, as we had previously arranged, handed me a paper bag full of human bones.

The life of a churchwarden is a strange one...

Terrified about work changes.
Had an initial chat about a change to my role that would mean doing more interesting work and some kinda pay increase.

A few weeks on and it's now sounding like it'll be a LOT more work on my plate and very little coming off it.

Tonight for the first time i had an IRL conversation about neurodivergence. It was very reassuring. Made me feel a lot less like I'm faking it (a constant worry) so i am hugely grateful to that colleague.

Anyone else relate?

Listening to a song and just been transported to the 2010s and one of my best friends, we've drifted apart over the years but that song has made me reach out again

I've had to turn off notifications on a thread. So far I've had 31 likes for a comment saying I found the post interesting.

It's freaking me out why so many are liking my comment. I don't want to join their cult, it sounds peopley.

Did a short, very gentle upper body workout this eve and oh my god, my body did not appreciate that

Tldr: Tidal is pretty good so far

Leaving Spotify has been on my to do list for a while

- Bad for Artists

- Getting bogged down with audiobooks/podcasts especially in Search

- Awful 'Made For You' playlists make it impossible to find new music

+ Artists/Indie Labels I like use it and share playlists here

What's the german word for "heating food in a microwave and, when you sit down, after getting knives and forks and a drink + going into another room only to discover it's still lukewarm and eating some of it then realising it's really TOO lukewarm and you have to get up again and do it for longer"?

Well my attempt to leave Spotify isn't off to a good start. Downloaded Tidal, it glitched and then blocked me before I could even set up an account.

Last week I set myself 5 small goals and have managed to achieve them.

They weren't anything grand but it definitely helped to set goals with the aim of doing within the week.

It feels nice to have a sense of accomplishment. I've just wrote out this week's intentions.
