I've been working on my OWDB addon for godot, specifically adding multiplayer support.

That's right, multiplayer open worlds with very little setup! Even supports nodes with zero configuration, they just need to managed by OWDB. Join the discord to follow development discord.gg/dPYxs3gXWQ

Did some work to make the ground a bit more detailed. Quite happy with it! The grass meshes could be improved, maybe just made smaller/more detailed, but was mainly focusing on the local terrain structure.

I need to get back to item destruction/dropping!

Went to the Game of Thrones studio tour today. Great fun, lots of minor details in the show that you otherwise wouldn't know about. Was sad to read they're making a loss at the moment.

Before vs after: Adding terrain normal rotation to grass completely transformed the environment! The blades now naturally follow the landscape contours instead of standing awkwardly upright. Small technical change, massive visual impact! #GameDev #GodotEngine #IndieDev

I've ported my entity rules for my procedural generation from a flat txt format to yaml. I can now add detailed crafting recipes and usage effects to all entities as well as defining generation requirements.

Thank you for the feedback all! I've tweaked this a bit so it's somewhere in-between and added some more depth, detail and variations to the grass (which now includes flowers and small rocks)

I'm so happy this project has some traction - people are already using it, submitting PRs and issues! I've extended it quite a bit with new input types and other elements and have started work on consolidating the variables and trying out new themes.. Watch this space!

I spent a big chunk of yesterday working on a replacement for Godot's MultiplayerSynchronizer. MS is great but I need some more control in my game (staggered loading, manual dirtying, manual broadcasts). It's all running great so I'll likely share the project to github.

Die Hard Trilogy
What's better than one game? Three games! It had three game modes, with each movie being represented as a third-person shooter, on-rail shooter, and driving game respectively. It was so good that they even made a Die Hard Trilogy 2! 😆
