Okay so I agree, but the juggling too many ideas thing is even worse gameplay wise-
Because you wanna know how many BASE GAME LEVELS (not counting bosses or After Alterna) force you to use the Hero Gear?

Not sure about Splatoon 1, but in Splatoon 2, you enter story mode by popping out of the manhole every time as seen there.
This is NOT the case for Splatoon 3, where you just appear in the Squid Sisters Camp. No manhole popping animation.
