Anyone who is or has been in a relationship can tell you how illogical and unpredictable people are.

Something as simple as "what do you want to eat" can turn into a situation quick, fast and in a hurry.

I get that this makes no sense but we are talking about human beings.

Yeah, I am running on pure caffeine today.

My CreateAthon team had the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition as a client. These 8 young ladies kicked much butt.

110 students working over a 24 hour to produce work for 10 non-profits! All teams did amazing work.

Doing cool things is not the same as doing good advertising.

Yes, advertising has to be interesting, but there has to be a message connected to that interesting.

The more 'advertising professionals' share their examples of 'great' AI executions, the more I realize that the call is coming from inside the house.

Some of us have no copulating clue what makes creative strong or good.

Great advertising has a thought behind it - a concept.

I saw the sun come up this morning.

18 hours and 26 minutes later, the brisket is done.

I went lighter on the bark because the person requesting it is in chemo.

It still looks and smells amazing.

It is resting before I cut it, and after I deliver it so will I.

So does a person saying they tried some form of advertising once and it didn't work, so they don't advertise.

Stop thinking of ways something will not work, and consider for a moment what if it does work.

If that possibility doesn't excite you then maybe the advertising concept is not that good.

It takes no talent to kill a concept. It requires true talent to see a concept's potential.

It is a beef stew, mashed potatoes and green peas kind of Sunday dinner.

Then I decided to experiment with my mom's jumbo raisin cookie recipe by adding rum to the raisins. Not sure I added enough.

This may require more testing.

Every generation of advertising does not get to have great work - the title has to be earned. And the bar should never be lowered.

Either a concept is strong and human or it isn't.

The award shows copulated this up by always awarding work as great that really wasn't.

Kickstarter Update: The end!

I didn't reach my goal. Now, if I was wired like many others, I'd claim that Kickstarter does not work, and dismiss it but I'm not.

I am so glad to be near the end.

I've learned a lot. I really thought not meeting the goal would bother me - it doesn't.

Kickstarter update 4 days to go: Trying to do something different isn't always fun.

Kickstarter update - 6 days to go or as I like to call it:

"Y'all gonna make me lose my mind up in here" stage.

Doing a Kickstarter, no one prepares you for all the Monday morning 'QBing' or the "let me tell you what you are doing wrong" folks.

Luckily, I work in advertising.
