There’s much to say about this. But I’ll just point out Sean Wilentz has been providing conservatives many talking points they need to smear history, which is intimately tied up in their attacks on democracy.
Also, meeting with Biden while he’s actively supporting a genocide is definitely a move.

I cannot describe how much I despise other professions citation practices. How hard is it to just use a footnote and tell me who said something and where? Why do I have to do detective work while reading your scholarship to figure out who you’re citing?
