Facts about this bot fly: it's a deer bot fly (Cephenemyia), which live in the throats of deer as larvae. The adults don't feed and lack mouthparts entirely. Final fact: like all bot flies, they're kind of cute.

This one is just a deer botfly, so as long as you don't have a cervid throat there's nothing to fear.
