Added a bunch of people to the Philly sports reporters Starter Pack.

People are joining pretty quickly so I've undoubtedly missed a bunch, so just @ me with anybody that should be added to the list.

Andre Drummond brought his dog, Bob Marley, to the podium again.

"Is your dog always this calm?"

"Yeah, he's like me in dog form. He just be chillin. He don't bother nobody, he's happy when he's happy and he's chillin more times than not."

Nick Nurse says that he brought Paul George off the bench in the 3rd quarter to try to match his minutes with Jaime Jaquez, as he thought George did the best job defending him.

Final: Sixers fall to the Miami Heat by a score of 127-117 to drop to 9-7 on the season.

Norm Powell led Miami with 32 on 11-18 shooting. Ware added 20/16 and Jaquez 22 and 7 assists off the bench.

Tyrese Maxey had 27 on 10-23 shooting for the Sixers.
November 23, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Two straight layups by Quentin Grimes -- one off a broken play in the half court, the other in transition -- and the Sixers have cut Miami's lead to 104-101 with 9:12 left in regulation. Timeout Miami.

Grimes is up to 15 points on 6-11 shooting on the night.

The Sixers only lost that 3rd quarter by a 2 point margin, which if you've been following this team at all this year, you know that's a minor miracle.

99-93 Miami heading into the 4th. Feels like the kinda game Tyrese might play the whole second half.
November 23, 2025 at 7:49 PM
And the Sixers responded by immediately ripping off an 8-0 run to pull back to within 6. Timeout Miami.

His stat line isn't jumping off the page (10 points, 4-8 shooting in 14 minutes), but Jared McCain starting to look like Jared McCain again is really important for the Sixers.

14-4 run by the Heat to start the 3rd, forcing the Sixers into a timeout staring at an 85-71 deficit.

Paul George started that 3rd quarter on the bench, but wound up coming into the game just a few minutes later. Guessing they're trying to stagger his minutes so he can close the game.
November 23, 2025 at 7:36 PM
The Sixers held the Miami Heat scoreless* over a 3.5 minute stretch in the second quarter to claw back into the game with a 16-0 run, but still somehow gave up 34 points in the quarter.

Miami leads 71-67 at the break. Tyrese Maxey (17/4), Andre Drummond (8/14) and Quentin Grimes (11) lead the way.
November 23, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Tough first quarter for the Sixers, who trail the Miami heat 37-27 after 1.

The Sixers are shooting just 3-12 from 3-point range and committed 5 turnovers in the frame, while giving up 7 offensive rebounds on Miami's 15 missed shots.

So Trump's whole "punishable by death" comment is really just gonna wash away in the span of a 24 hour news cycle, huh?

We really are broken as a society.

Obviously, it's been the best scoring season of Tyrese Maxey's career, and it's not even particularly close.

But Maxey is putting up career-highs pretty much across the board. From assists, to getting to the FT line, to efficiency, and the all-in-one advanced metrics.

Final: Sixers comeback falls short, as they fall to the Toronto Raptors 121-112, dropping to 8-6 on the season.

Ingram (22), Barrett (22), Poeltl (19/8) and Barnes (16/9/5) all had big nights for Toronto, who forced the Sixers into 21 turnovers.

Toronto has won 9 of their last 10.

Quentin Grimes is going off here in the 4th, and is now up to 17 points on 6-12 shooting off the bench.

Raptors lead 111-106 with 3:49 left.

A transition layup from Quentin Grimes caps off an 11-0 run by the Sixers, and cuts Toronto's lead to 5 with 7:46 left.

The Sixers still have a long way to go to come back in this one, but VJ Edgecombe has done a complete 180 after a really tough first 22 minutes of this game. He's now up to 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals on 7-17 shooting, after starting 0-5 from the field.
November 20, 2025 at 1:59 AM
First time I'm saying this all year*, but that was a tough 3rd quarter for the Sixers, who were outscored by Raptors 44-26, flipping a 3 point halftime lead into a 15 point deficit heading into the 4th.

Sixers committed 8 turnovers in that quarter for 15 Toronto points.

*Note: I've said it a lot.

Sixers close half strong and will head to the half holding a 56-53 lead.
- Maxey with 15 on 5-9.
- 9 boards for Drummond.
- McCain's best stint of the season.
- Good Jabari Walker minutes.
- Bad VJ offense (until the last 2 minutes), good VJ defense.
- Sixers +5 in 3ptm.
November 20, 2025 at 1:06 AM
Jared McCain finally got on the board, making his first shot of the season after coming into the game 0-9 in his limited minutes so far this year.

Sixers trail the Raptors 33-28 after 1. Maxey has 12 for the Sixers, with Ingram leading Toronto with 7.
November 20, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Raptors lead the Sixers 17-15 at the first stoppage of play.

Tyrese Maxey has been putting on a show here to start, as he scored 8 straight for the Sixers early in the quarter and chipped in with a nice block on Quickley as well.

Raptors on shooting 6-9 from the field so far.
