Nick Nurse says that there's a chance that Joel Embiid could play in the final preseason game.

"I think there's some chance, yeah. I don't think we're there yet. It's a little early in the week to decide...We got some thresholds to get over before we get to that point."

Today at the Blue vs White scrimmage was the first time we got to see Joel Embiid playing in 5-on-5.

There's always a bunch of concern/discussion over whether Embiid's wearing a brace/sleeve on his knee and how big it is, so here's a couple of photos that show the knee.

Today at the Blue vs White scrimmage was the first time we got to see Joel Embiid playing in 5-on-5.

"[Joel's] one of our best, if not our best, 3-point shooters. That is a legitimate offensive weapon that we need to utilize. That will create space for those other guys to drive a bit. He's a good decision maker..I want him to make sure that he's running stuff with [Grimes + VJ]."

Edgecombe did participate in this morning's shootaround and is considered day-to-day. The team says he is expected to practice next week.

But when you string together about 4 innings worth of shitty at-bats in a row, you leave yourself open to one mistake being the deciding factor.

Sure sounds like VJ Edgecombe could start.

"Tyrese and VJ look very good, and very comfortable, out there doing both things [playing on and off ball]. We were hoping that was the case, but it looked to me well-advanced."

Paul George continues to do individual workouts. The team says that those have increased in intensity and he should be integrated in team activities in the coming days.

Trendon Watford (hamstring) remains out for Friday's game.
