Added a bunch of people to the Philly sports reporters Starter Pack.

People are joining pretty quickly so I've undoubtedly missed a bunch, so just @ me with anybody that should be added to the list.

They only lost the 3rd quarter by 3!

I know it's only the Nets, but it looked like it was going to be much worse given the way the 3rd quarter started, but the Sixers regrouped midway through the 3rd and will head to the 4th holding an 87-75 lead

Maxey (19), Grimes (15) and PG (14) lead the Sixers

Sixers up 31-23 at the end of 1, with strong starts from Paul George (7 points, 3-4 shooting) and Andre Drummond (7 points and 4 rebounds). Jared McCain had a quick 5 off the bench.

Nets are shooting just 10-24 from the field with 5 turnovers in the early going.

How is going for a 2pt conversion, down 15, turning into an analytics debate? I feel like I'm losing my mind.

You *need* two TDs, and you *need* to have a 2pt conversion in one of those two TDs.

Extending your window of hope doesn't actually help you win the game.

This only being a 10-3 deficit at the half is a true miracle.

A 10-3 halftime deficit feels absolutely insurmountable.

I get we've become desensitized to Trump's (and Miller's) ramblings but this might be the most unhinged and dangerous thing ever uttered by a president in my lifetime?

"remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country"

Go rule of law. Happy Holidays

After the Sixers' blowout loss to the Magic, Tyrese Maxey talked about the challenges of playing with so many starters out of the lineup, and about young players seizing the opportunity.
November 26, 2025 at 5:17 AM
Nick Nurse and Tyrese Maxey on what went wrong in blowout loss to the Magic:

Maxey: "They spanked us. All there is to it."

Nurse: "We weren't moving well enough. We weren't getting back well enough. We weren't keeping them in front well enough."

Sixers lose a nailbiter to Orlando, falling 144-103 to drop to 9-8 on the season.
November 26, 2025 at 3:35 AM
There is a "we want Kyle [Lowry]!" chant breaking out from Sixers fans with the team down 41 with 4:30 left to play.
November 26, 2025 at 3:24 AM
Jared McCain checked in for Tyrese Maxey with 1:30 left in the 3rd quarter and the Sixers down 34.

If Maxey sees the court *at all* in the 4th, Nick Nurse needs to be investigated for crimes against basketball.

An Eric Gordon corner 3 cuts Orlando's lead to 37 with 3:41 left in the 3rd, forcing Jamahl Mosley to take a timeout.
November 26, 2025 at 2:58 AM
Trendon Watford has a left adductor strain and will not return, the Sixers say.
November 26, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Worst quarter of the season by the Sixers and I'm not sure it's even close, as the Magic outscored the Sixers 51(!)-25 to take an 86-60 lead into the break.

Black has 27 for the Magic off the bench, with Orlando shooting 55% from the field and 8-19 from 3.
November 26, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Also: Jabari Walker, Andre Drummond and Wendell Carter Jr have received technical fouls as a result of the shoving match that broke out late in the first half here in Philadelphia.
Jalen Suggs has been ejected from the game.

And now Anthony Black has a new career high. (there's still 4:07 left in the first half).

23 points on 8-12 shooting in 13 minutes of play.

68-49 Orlando lead.
The Sixers are turning the ball over almost every trip down, playing shitty transition defense and leaving shooters wide open. 64-47 Orlando with 5:21 left in the half.

Anthony Black has tied his career high (23) in 13 minutes of play.

Back-to-back 3s by the Magic in the final 31 seconds of play will tie this one up at 35 after the first.

Trendon Watford (8), Tyrese Maxey (7) and Jared McCain (7) doing the bulk of the damage for the Sixers, who are shooting 58% from the field and 3-5 from deep.
November 26, 2025 at 1:46 AM
7 quick points in 4 minutes off the bench for Jared McCain, and Orlando is going to have to take a timeout.

Sixers lead 21-17 with 4:03 left in the 1st, with McCain leading all scorers.

I've started maintaining my injury database again. It's a log of every time that a player is on an injury report (even off days), with an overview of how many games each injury has caused a player to miss.
