Don't forget that hundreds have so far also been killed. There were videos of protestors dying after being shot as others desperately tried to save their lives. And doctors at a Teheran clinic leaked that more people have so far been killed than during the Israeli-American bombing campaign.

A rhetorical question. If the Belarusian opposition is the same as the Russian one, then why was the opposition in the Baltic states, Georgia, and many others as weak as the Belarusian one from 1945 to 1991? Perhaps institutions and the collapse of ineffective ones matter more than "muscle"?
