Born at a young age, grew up, got old. The true measure of a society is how it treats those least able to look after themselves. And cats are evil... I know, I own 2. Apparently I am a Google Truffle Pig.
Pfft! lists don't work!
Mine for example...
1, Have breakfast then make love to a supermodel.
2, Win lottery.
3, Have lunch and find cure for cancer.
4, *time off for afternoon nanna nap.
5, Purchase hang glider with lottery winnings.

I only achieved 1 out of the five on the list... 😐

I much prefer the Nigerian prince with the gold approach.

Ridicule and sarcasm rules in those situations. 👍
Although the Roo approach does have some appeal.
I am starting to appreciate it. Might try it, hehe.

bwhaha!
good luck with that!
🤣
Can't get blood from a stone Roo.

The lidar for the area is fairly impressive.

6, click on the West Woodburn in Northumberland, and the lidar map will pop up!

Voila!
February 15, 2026 at 1:51 PM
How I found the Lidar.
1, look the site up on Google maps.
2, find the closest town. (West Woodburn)
3, go to www.archiuk.com/archi/lidarf...
4, enter the town name and search.
5, new page appears, click the drop down menu and choose the right West Woodburn. (there are two, one in Durham)
cont...

The Lidar is pretty impressive for the area.
Massive earthworks.

Note the "shadows" of the medieval Ridge and Furrow ploughing below the fort.
Still visible (to Lidar anyways) today.

Neolithic Olympic torch relay snapshot? 🤔
February 15, 2026 at 1:15 PM
hehehe...
OMG, my first thought was, poor bugger is on a Shetland pony!
🫢
Nasty... nasty pieces of work those things are.
It is also most likely responsible for the state of the warriors legs.
Perfect warhorse, the Neolithic's version of mutually assured destruction!

Assume really... really bad David Atten-bro voice, ok?

"Here we see the deadly feline hunter stalking it's prey in it's natural environment in the Amazon..."

We were just down here doing our own thing, the rest of the car world was basically irrelevant due to restrictive import tariffs placed to protect our auto industry.
Exotica was rare.

This photo is famous here, it was taken by a Wheels Magazine photographer from the back seat on a public road while doing the road test for the magazine.
Bouncing on the rev limiter at 145 mph, straight out of the factory door.

The track is insane, there is exactly zero room for mistakes.
If you have 10 minutes watch this, it explains the track.

Both cars were built for one reason, and one reason only, to win a once a year race at Bathurst.
The circuit is a public road when not used for racing.
6.2 kilometres, 23 corners, and a 571 feet elevation between the lowest and highest points on the track with a 1.9 kilometre downhill straight.

hehe, I got three of them to amuse me! 👍
Left to right: -
Fabio, big buff good looking but not the sharpest tool in the shed. 😳🤣
Eartha Kitt, the first black cat woman, lol. 😋
And Karen, just so entitled! (100% a full blown Karen!) 🤣

This is a picture of the factory boffins stress testing the 265 cubic inch Hemi motor in development on a dyno.
6k revs under load for hours.
Both were seriously fast motor cars.
Seriously fast...

1970, in Australia we could buy a 4 door "taxi" with a few factory parts that would pull 14 second quarters and pull 100 mph inside the quarter.
In fact we had 2 choices, a V8 GT falcon, or a 6 cylinder Charger with triple Webbers, both would seriously embarrass all that list.

Had my zener diode die on me one night, weird, all of a sudden my 12 volt machine got hold of over 20 volts, blew the headlight.
Blew the fuse 2 seconds later, man the light got bright before it blew!
😁😂🤣
February 15, 2026 at 4:48 AM
How has Mr Lucas been for you?
He gave me hell for months till I finally spat the dummy and put a full 7 circuit fuse box in it. It had one fuse between the battery and earth. There was bits of loom and a lot of bad words flying that day.
100% replace the zener diode with something reliable.

Yeah, the Bommies had 32's if I remember correctly. Or 30's...
Hang on... maybe the 32's were on the single carb jobs like the Trophy, and a pair of 30's on the Bonneville.
Meh, can't be arsed looking it up. 😁
February 15, 2026 at 1:53 AM
Do the 500's run Amal carbs?
Pretty sure there is an English company making brand new Amals authentic to the original, but with finer tolerances.
How were the engine cases, did they leak like a sieve at the joins? The 650's do. Notorious for it.

I'll be over here in the kitchen if you want me...
🤔
Hey, there's beer in this fridge!
Anyone for a beer?
